CCSS relies on volunteers to help accomplish its mission. People - adults, youth and children - assist us in a variety of ways. Some come for an hour. Others help for a day. A number of people are regulars working with us once a week or once a month. Still others volunteer for an entire weekend or week.

We can accomodate groups from 2-100 at a time. In order to make sure we anticipate your arrival and have supplies and staff ready to assist, please contact one of the following people at the main telephone number (313) 883-2277: Gladys Ferguson (school groups) Ext 206, Ed Hingelberg (corporate groups) Ext 213, Jana Gothe (Rotating Shelter churches), Pat DeCarlo (Activity Center groups) Ext 302, or Rev. Fowler (youth groups and other church groups) Ext. 201. Group leaders should complete the attached application form.If your group is considering staying overnight, or for multiple days, please be sure to look over the "Service Team Application" packet, which is attached below the "Student Volunteer" box.

Student interns and individuals interested in volunteering at CCSS will also need to complete an application form in advance of starting. The Volunteer-Student form can be filled out online in the box below.
